Hello everyone! This is a small update - I always thought the game was missing something, so I 've come back to add it in.

This update adds the UPGRADE screen, which allows you to pick (not always) helpful additional abilities to aid your survival.

So far I have 7 upgrades to choose from, each with animated pixel art icons.

What else? Well, I tweaked the game balance quite a bit. This is quite a hard thing to get right, and I expect i'll be back to tweak it again. Now you'll see more hearts dropped when you're on your last legs, and fewer when you're doing well.

Some other improvements - hearts now shouldn't drop where you can't reach them, added a brief invulnerability period after being hit, and added some new title music.

It became clearer to me whilst revisiting this project that the theme of the game is essentially: 'be careful what you wish for.'

With this in mind, there are very few choices you can make in the game which are purely positive. Everything - even eternal life - has its drawbacks.
